Top 7 Tips for Socializing Dogs

Begin socialization starting at 3 weeks exposing puppies gently to variety. Optimal window is 3-16 weeks while puppies build confidence through new encounters. 

Start Young

Ensure all introductions are gradual, calm and positive. Rushing interactions may frighten puppies or overwhelm adult dogs. Monitor comfort levels.

Go Slow 

Reward and mark positive interactions with treats, praise or play. This classical conditioning links strangers, environments as good experiences.
